Gan Sau against a mid-level kick

Instructional video on the Wing Chun technique of Gan Sao and how it can be applied to defend against a mid-level kick.

Former chairman of Master Leung Sheung's Wing Chun Association, Sifu Roland Kong demonstrates Gan Sau against mid-level kicks. Master Leung Sheung was the first student of Grandmaster Ip Man and also the eldest kung fu brother of the legendary Bruce Lee.

I agree totally with the angle change against the mid level kick. In Wudang Tai Chi we move away by side stepping inwards with a diagonal step,then catch the kick in similar way. We twist and throw the opponent where as you gave some effective strikes. The spinning roundhouse kick at the end was my favourite. I really love the way Sifu Roland Kong steps in and sends him flying. the perfect thing to do. Very nice video!
