About Me: Ive been studying Martial Arts on and off for the last 6 years, becoming more interested in the past 2. I have a wide interest in martial arts and cant seem to train in enough of them! (a bit of a problem to be honest). Im currently in my second year studying History with Politics/International Relations at the University of Kent in Canterbury, England, but when not studying a vast amount of my time seems to be spent training...maybe instead of working somtimes...

Experience: I started Karate at a local club when i was about 15, though to this day i dont know what style it was they taught there, though it involved some full contact fights at the end with boxing gloves (as opposed to open handed gloves), interesting... I left this club after about two years training and studied aikido for a summer at a near by dojo, a club i later found out to be related to the dojo i now train at when back from Uni. Really got interested in martial arts proper in the last year of 6th form and summer before university, i read a tonne of books from the library on every martial art i could find, and bought a few books, including my still number one fav ma book 'the tao of Jeet Kune Do' At University i joined almost every martial arts club, sticking to japanese arts though, ive only ever studied these and so feel more comfortable with them, though as the only non japanese clubs available were tae kwon do and tai chi at the time it wasnt difficult. I have very recently started mma, which i hope with my varied background in martial arts i will find a relatively easy transition...
