About Me: Hi, I'm Phil! Originally from South Carolina, currently reside in Jacksonville, FL. I'm in the Military (U.S. Coast Guard). I love all martial arts, especially capoeira! Capoeira is the Afro-Brazilian martial art from Brazil. I've been training in martial arts since 1997 starting out in JKD and MMA and dabbling in other arts along the way. I started to focus on capoeira since 2007'November and have fallen in love with the style! Although my main focus is on Capoeira now, I still love to dabble in various other styles as much as I can! I am also a fan of and fascinated by Traditional African martial arts (or any style with African roots for that matter) and seek to research and learn everything about them. I have also just started training in Escrima and am looking forward to growing there! Anything else you want to know, please feel free to ask ;-)

Experience: [2007'Nov to present]- Capoeira / [as of 2012'Feb]- Escrima / [1997'Aug to 2001]- MMA (including JKD, Kick Boxing and BJJ) / [From period of 2001-2007]- dabbled breifly (6mos to 1yr+ and some still continuously off and on ) in varioius martial art styles including muay thai, kick boxing, taekwondo, shaolin kung-fu, wing chun, jeetkunedo, brazilian jujitsu, hakku ryu jutistu, san-jitsu ryu, various karate styles, wrestling, and boxing

Thanks! Yes this place can get pretty addicting. Its hard to find good martial art sites like this.

Hey man, Have you seen the new Tekken movie? Has some pretty decent fight
sequences in it. Not to mention a pretty awesome Capoeira fight.. well..
would have been awesome, but I don't wanna give it away :)

Yep, I finally saw it a few weeks back I bought it! I liked it, but I think it could have been better! Great fight scenes though

weekend i can't wait to see it thank god for sly making this movie it looks
real good . i hear jet li has a fight seen with that big dude from rocky 4. i
also can't wait to see james tony vs rady couture, who are you picking to win

Saw Expendables. Awesome movie! Loved it. Missed Toney vs Couture. My bet was on Couture though
