Simple yet extremely
Simple yet extremely effective self defence. I used to get in trouble in San Shou matches kicking joints as is totally dangerous but is trained into me through the self defence applications.

Thanks for adding this video, very effective and practical technique. I'd just advice anyone who does not study martial arts watching this video to be extremely careful and controlled with the kick to the knee (unless your in a real life self defense in danger), because the kick can literally wipe the knee out beyond recovery.

very true Ashley, I was thinking that i would be reluctant to use this in a self defence situation also. I tend to try and smother up an attacker and resolve the issue quickly and hopefully safely. However it depends on the actual threat how much of a response is needed and i'd rather the other guy suffer a nasty knee injury than I.
