weapons are such an interesting componant to some MA training. I think the uninformed glamourise the concept of weapons; i myself see them as nothing more fancy than an extension of my self. There is no point flailing around something hard or sharp if it isn't 'in sync' with your body.
Out of interest, my own favourite weapons are (not in any order): Hanbo, tanto, bo, sword (ninja-to), boken, bata (sail eille) and i have just started learning eskrima
