For inquiring minds passing through, this link that I am about to post is an excellent source to finding capoeira groups in your area just in case you, or some one you know may be interested. It has a pretty good database of capoeira schools. The best I've seen online as of date:

-About Capoeira- A Brief History Overview: Capoeira is the style that I am placing all of my focus on at the moment. It is a martial art with deep roots in African martial traditions. It came to the "New World" with slaves who were shiped from Africa to Brazil, and further developed there. There are also similar styles called by different names that arrived with slaves in other parts of the "New World" This fact gives further evidence that capoeira's roots came from Africa by slaves. Capoeira also has elements of music and dance-like movements inter-mingled with martial skills. Capoeira was used as a means of self defense throughout the history of slavery in Brazil, and even afterward. It had gained a reputation for being so deadly, that the art was banned, and anyone caught practicing it would face harsh punishment. Capoeira around this time also started to become associated with criminals and gangsters. Also around this time, many capoeiristas were hired as body guards and assassins by big shot polititions because of it's proven skill and effectivness. In the 1930's the ban was finally lifted off of capoeira due to the efforts of a man known as Mestre Bimba who in a way, changed the face of capoeira. He was the first to openly and publicly teach capoeira legaly to anyone who wanted to learn. After a demonstration he did for the president of Brazil at the time, the president loved it so much that he lifted the ban and declared it a national sport of Brazil. Today, Capoeira is practiced around the world! This is just a brief overview, but there is so much more to the history, culture and philosophies of this beautiful yet deadly art of Afro Brazilan Capoeira. This group is dedicated to discussions about all things capoeira and open to all who is interested in learning more, or just want to ask questions and or discuss topics concerning!

There are no capoeira schools in my province. :( Prince Edward Island is not a very good place to live for a martial artist! I was lucky to find the Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu Dojo that I am studying at right now. It wasn't advertised at all, but luckily my friend heard of it somewhere and told me about it. :)
Would you like a capoeira group in your area? There are lots of capoeira groups in Canada (that is where Prince Edward Island is, am I correct?) There maybe instructors in near by areas who would not mind expanding their groups if they know there is a population there that would like to train. I know what it's like having grown up in an area with not much martial art training options near by. But it sounds like you really lucked up with a good style. I think Bujinkan a good style. One that definitely gets my attention!
I found an episode of the series "Deadly Arts" that focused the episode on capoeira. It is a very good look at the art, especially for those who may not know much about it.... so of course, I decided to post it here for all to check out. Enjoy as the videos will follow. They are in 9 parts.
Okay, since it brings up the link instead of the actual video, I'll post them in the forums in stead. This will make it easier for everyone to see with having to open up youtube.
