How the movies are ranked

Martial arts movie ranking algorithm

martial arts movies databaseWe use a unique algorithm to determine the rank of the martial arts movies,  taking the number of votes on each movie into account as well as the average ranking across all movies in our database.

 

For example, a movie with only 1 vote at 10 stars would be reduced by an amount dependant on the average rating and number of votes of all other movies - resulting in it being an unlikely candidate for a top ranked movie until more votes are cast.

 

We consider this algorithm essential to providing you with a true ranking system.
