Its a very strange film...
Its a very strange film... With some time travelling and stuff. Jackie chan is actually good as he usually is. I think hes let down by some nonsense storyline points and a huge fight scene that is just too unrealistic... but overall it is ok actually.
I agree this is a pretty
I agree this is a pretty movie but lacks any finesse in it's execution. A big budget affair that forgot to spend any money on the story editing. Everything else is here though; great fights, great effects, good acting, good cinematography. It's got the standard Asian film problem of plot holes and story line disruption due to final editing though. Too bad because it is a spectacular film to look at. It's worth watching especially for J. Chan fans.
Some good scenes, but poor
Some good scenes, but poor overall, especially by Jackie Chan's standards. He is in a role that i've not seen him in before, but it's not long before his comical fight scenes take shape. The movie has a top cast with Chan and Kim Hee-sun but that does not make up for the poor script and production. The positives were good scenery shots, good fight scenes (in particular the rat glue factory scene) and of course the sight of the Korean princess and Indian yoga girl on my tv screen.
The ending is not your standard Jackie Chan ending either, without spoiling anything.
