The founder and legend of  Zen Do Kai is Bob Jones who is an expert trainer of martial arts and its relative form since the year of 1960s. The goal or the primary motivation behind his teaching was to impart the martial art skills and techniques to those related to the industry related to security. He was himself appointed and associated with the security support of the famous band “The Beatles” and the other successful music bands of all times namely “The Rolling Stones” and the “Stevie Nicks”. This legend of Zen Do Kai wrote a book which was named “Let the Good Times Roll”. This book exclusively includes all his experience throughout his career and life. A channel which was indeed very popular had a show named “Fighting Fit” which was hosted by Jones.

Since the very year of 1960, Australia followed by New Zealand heard and witnessed the gradual popularity of Bob Jones as he taught thousands of Australian students his skills and bestowed them the unique martial arts strategies of all times to defend and protect themselves. It should be indeed of great pride to reveal the fact that most of his students grew into fine Black Belt Champions in Martial Arts. These students were gradually been taught how to protect others and they soon got appointed in the security industry.

During the seventies as discussed above Bob Jones got associated with the leading musical bands and secured all of the Australia’s most popular Rock events and concerts. Bob Jones comfortably handled crowds over 50000 in each of the concerts as he was supported by most of his exclusive handful of the Black Belt Champions. These champions were responsible to ensure any kind of public well being and existence as the crowd went crazy with the spectacular Rock concerts of the most popular bands of all times.

With the advent of the eighties, Bob himself accompanied exclusively many of the famous Rock Bands and Rock and Roll celebrities as they toured all over the world. He personally was appointed as the body guard of such celebrities as he went on proving his efficiency and endurance as a security.

Along with multiple television appearances and being a writer of several magazines and articles Bob Jones has eventually and consistently provided and preached his teachings in the due course of time. One of the highest ranks present in Australia, the rank of eighth dan, has been owned by this legend. The year 1997 must have been memorable by all and by Bob Jones himself as the year witnessed his prestigious award winning ceremony of the Blitz Martial Arts Magazine Lifetime Achievement Award.

The syllabus of Zen Do Kai does not only include what can be defined and described as the techniques of Karate and Karate forms; but also the involvement of certain principles and the exclusive practices of locks and holds, vital point striking, throws and blows, boxing, kick boxing and Muay Thai Boxing. Along with the involvement of all these the use of traditional weaponry gets associated along with these.

It is of utmost pride that the system of Zen Do Kai though being one of the recent forms of martial arts has gained popularity since its existence and has attracted several students across the world to adapt them with this particular form of Karate. The form believes in purity and adaptability to the surrounding. The successful completion of understanding the practices and beliefs of Zen Do Kai by its numerous followers and students eventually concludes and speaks for its pride and popularity in the recent times.
