Jujutsu is an ancient Japanese martial art and its style includes unarmed and armed techniques. Today Jujutsu is practiced both ancient and modern methods. Here, in forth coming paragraphs lets see the ancient and modern legends and masters of Jujutsu art.
Hontai Yoshin Ryu:
Hontai Yoshin Ryu was one of the famous Ryu during 17th century and the founder of this Ryu was Takagi Orimon Sigetosi, who was born in 1635. This Ryu is still running successfully and it created number of legends from ancient era till this modern era. It has the branches all over the world. Westerns show much interest to learn the art of Jujutsu at this Ryu.
Umon or Yoshin Rye was one of the successors of this Ryu. He is well-known for his great physical strength and he was nearly seven feet tall. During his juvenile era, he learned all the secrets of Jujutsu martial art from his master and he also got permission to start his own apprentices. Finally, he became the great successor of Oriemon.
The 19th master of this school is Inoue Kyoichi Munenori, who provides training to many youth till present. He teaches his students the mixture of both ancient and modern styles. The most notable point of Inoue is he has small built but he is excellent in fighting against the big men.

Wally Jay:
Wally Jay is a living legend and was born in 1917. He is the professor of Great American-Hawaiian Martial Arts Grandmaster on Jujutsu and he is also the founder of Small Circle Jujutsu International and Jujutsu America. During the year 1940 he learned the art of Jujutsu under Juan Gomez that helps him to give key to Small Circle Jujutsu techniques.
During the year 1962 he spent time with the world famous Bruce Lee and he taught him Jujutsu techniques.
Reylson Gracie:
Reylson Gracie is also one of the famous living legends of this century, who was born in 1943. This grandmaster is great Brazilian-American martial arts of Reylson Gracie Jujutsu or Brazilian Gracie Ju-Jitsu.
His father Carlos Gracie is the founder of Gracie Ju-Jitsu, who was the first Brazilian to learn Japanese Ju-Jitsu. He wanted to transform the little guys into giants by using this technique. He wanted to make his followers succeeded not only in physical confrontation but also in all walks of life.
Reylson begun to learn this art at his four years and during the age of fourteen he began to teach this art of Jujitsu system to his father’s students. He is the youngest family member, who was certified as the Black Belt Master Instructor at the early age of 17. Due to his unique self-defense program and his fabulous teaching style he becomes famous worldwide.
Royce Gracie:
Royce Gracie is one of the famous mixed martial art fighters especially Jujutsu, who was born in 1996. He is basically from Brazil and he practiced Brazilian Ju-Jitsu style. This great legend holds the most submission victories. He is capable to beat the opponents, who are much larger and stronger than him, which makes him more popular. He won the tournament of UFC1, UFC2, and UFC4 between the years 1993 and 1994.
Soke Richard Morris:
Soke Richard Morris is also a living legend, who is one of the most esteemed Martial Artists. He dedicated most part of his life for the art of Martial. He is ranked as “10th Dan” in Jui Jitsu Japan. This famous legend is the founder of Jiu Jitsu International, which is popularized more then fifty countries worldwide. He is one of the highest ranked Jujitsu Masters.
Soke Erik Karlsson:
Soke Erik Karlsson is the living legend, in the fields of Martial Arts, from Sweden today and a very popular Jiu Jistu Master in the world. He practiced under the supervision of the Japanese teacher Soke Inoue of Hontai Yoshin Ryu and now he has become the head instructor of the great Hontai Yoshin Ryu from Sweden.
