    Default Supplements for martial arts

Do any martial artists here take supplements?

    Eg... whey, creatine etc?

I take four scoops of Whey Proteins after every work out and weight lifting session. It has 1,000 calories and a ton of protein and it really helps give me a boost of energy and recovery.

I only take a multi-vitiman. Though every now and then...I've been thinking about taking protien as well. Which do you guys think is the best?

I found a lot of them to be a matter of personal taste. Maximuscle Products although look fancy(and are expensive) left me with quite a bad stomach. Yet others report no issues.
Im currently using Reflex Whey Protein, Its great value, easy to mix and tastes good!

I read an article in a paper once about an interview with an Olympic gold medalist and apparantly all top athletes take creatine. It increases muscle strength and endurance, which for martial artists is important too. And if you want my personal view too, then yes I couldreally feel benefits from using it as a regular supplement.

I don't know why but I have never trusted supplements, I can't give a logical argument against them. You do see them being popular in the gym and a lot of the guys seem to take them. It just doesn't seem natural to me.

Can anyone suggest foods that would be good for burning fat and toning muscle? I don't want to get any heavier btw lol

Foods to my knowledge won't burn fat. There is only one way to do that: create a calorie deficit, and to do that you can either increase your daily activities or reduce your calorie intake, or both. Increase your daily activity and stop eating those treats like chocolate, cake or anything with butter in it. Eat high protein foods.

Doing this for only one month will produce positive results that you can see with your own eyes.
