Yes, this is very effective !
We also use that but we call it a figure four take down.
But we control it different on the ground( of course I didnt see the whole clip)
It gives a very tight control and the opponent will go down or break their wrist resisting.
Yes I have seen this technique in many different styles, we even have used it in our Zen Do Kai classes.
Ive seen very similar Aikido, Jiu Jitsu, Defendu, Krav Maga, Jeet Kune Do and Karate - but all in slightly different variations, not always using the knee strike.
It's a really effective move but the key to it is getting your hands into the right position just before the lock is made whilst blocking the strike. Beginners should learn this technique firstly by practising the leg movement, ensuring that they naturally place their body in a dominating position to effectively carry out this technique.
this work when other guy got stronger arms then yours?
All that writing it down on a bit of paper, minimising this site, then writing it all into the search bar...............and its closed grrr! If someone could put this up as a link, i would like to see it, thank you!
@ decker dude: Hey, just try copying and pasting the links url into the browser. It should work![]()
Seeing this thread brings to my attention an error I've been noticing as well. Hmmm, I presume that this video was once able to be viewed in the thread. I noticed that a couple of older videos I've posted in threads in the past and was once viewable now has the same text as the broken link above. A couple of them I fixed by editing post option... but there is just too many. Why does that happen over time to videos in some threads???
